And the jewel of the Lake Tahoe area has to be the amazing Fallen Leaf Lake. So it takes some effort to get there but it is very nice to have access to the lake.After Thailand, my favorite place in the world is the incomparable Lake Tahoe. We didn't use it because my daughter is on crutches. The dock is a communal one a few hundred yards down the road and then down a trail. It was fine when we were there, but adding screens would be really nice. And others have mentioned ventilation - they did make the doors so they could open but they don't have screens so in the summer I still only opened the kitchen and bathroom windows, which have screens. As others have said, the house is clean but it is a bit dimly lit which I am not used to. Amazing hikes, beautiful water, etc.Ī few notes - the pictures are accurate. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to be near Fallen Leaf Lake (which is spectacular). The bed is comfortable, the water pressure and hot water good, etc. You can tell that Jim really cares about the house and property. The house has all the amenities you expect from a Vrbo - full kitchen, extra sheets and towels, etc. The owner, Jim, is very responsive, helpful and kind. My daughter was working on the lake so we were looking for a place nearby to her. ![]() There is an electric oven/stove, a small refrigerator, microwave. Desolation Wilderness, Angora, Emerald Bay, Mt Tallac. Many trailheads within a very short distance, i.e. ![]() Walk 400 yards to the private Lakeview Corporation dock for swimming, fishing, kayak or stand up paddle board. This small cabin has a peek-a-boo WATER VIEW, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, a queen bed in the bedroom sleeps two, plus two large sofas will sleep kids or two adults. NO OUTDOOR OPEN PIT FIRES ARE ALLOWED(don't even think about it), you will refunded and removed. A wood burning stove is the primary source for heating the cabin and making S'mores, unlimited firewood is provided. I STRONGLY RECCOMMEND BUYING INSURANCE TO REIMBURSE YOUR LOSSES IF YOU CANCEL YOUR VACATION, OUTSIDE OF OUR CANCELLATION POLICY, it's cheap. WILD FIRES: Obviously we have no control of occurrences of wild fire. 001% of the people who have rented or intend to rent our cabin. If you cannot show that respect you will be ASKED to LEAVE IMMEDIATELY, NEVER to RETURN.
